  • Big Lake Yellow Jackets lost the lead late in a 6-3 defeat to Coon Rapids Redbirds on Sunday. The game was tied at two with Coon Rapids Redbirds batting in the top of the sixth when Zach Sather singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
  • Big Lake Yellow Jackets fired up the offense in the second inning.  Brian Larson drove in two when he homered.
  • Coon Rapids Redbirds pulled away for good with four runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth an error scored one run for Coon Rapids Redbirds and Dan Skog singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
  • Brandon Woznak earned the victory on the hill for Coon Rapids Redbirds. He surrendered three runs on seven hits over eight innings, striking out six.  Nick Herold threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Herold recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Coon Rapids Redbirds.
  • Mason Miller took the loss for Big Lake Yellow Jackets. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out five and walking one.
  • Taylor Giving started the game for Big Lake Yellow Jackets. He lasted five and a third innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out two
  • Big Lake Yellow Jackets launched one home run on the day. Larson put one out in the second inning.
  • Big Lake Yellow Jackets tallied seven hits in the game. Joe Rathmanner and Tanner Teige all managed multiple hits for Big Lake Yellow Jackets.  Teige and Rathmannereach managed two hits to lead Big Lake Yellow Jackets.
  • Coon Rapids Redbirds had ten hits in the game.  Sather, Skog, and Jon Olson each managed multiple hits for Coon Rapids Redbirds.  Sather went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Coon Rapids Redbirds in hits.
