  • Coon Rapids Redbirds got things started in the second inning when Dan Skog singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
  • Big Lake Yellow Jackets evened things up at one in the bottom of the second inning.  Brandon Holthaus hit a solo homer.
  • Coon Rapids Redbirds pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Skog was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Tim Kehren singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs for Coon Rapids Redbirds.
  • Justin Clark earned the win for Coon Rapids Redbirds. He went six innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out seven.  Mark Lundholm and Brandon Woznakentered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
  • Kyle Knaeble took the loss for Big Lake Yellow Jackets. He lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and six runs while striking out two.
  • Big Lake Yellow Jackets socked one home run on the day. Holthaus put one out in the second inning.
  • Dustin Wilcox and Holthaus each collected one hit to lead Big Lake Yellow Jackets.
  • Taylor Nelson led Coon Rapids Redbirds with two hits in five at bats. Coon Rapids Redbirds didn't commit a single error in the field. Aaron Lindstrom had the most chances in the field with nine.
