Big Lake Yellow Jackets knocked in 11 runs in the fifth on its way to a 20-2 victory over North Branch Nighthawks on Sunday.  Big Lake Yellow Jackets offense in the inning was led by Chance Halligan, Luke Atwood, Brian Larson, Joe  Rathmanner, Tony Rathmanner, and  JD Huberty, who each had RBIs in the inning.

 

Big Lake Yellow Jackets opened up scoring in the first inning, when Brandon Holthaus's sac fly scored three runs for Big Lake Yellow Jackets.

 

Big Lake Yellow Jackets notched 11 runs in the fifth inning.  Big Lake Yellow Jackets's big inning was driven by singles by Atwood, Larson, Rathmanner, and Holthaus, doubles by Halligan, Eric Chuba, and Halligan, a walk by Huberty, and  by Rathmanner.

 

Kyle Knaeble got the win for Big Lake Yellow Jackets. He allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.  Dustin Wilcox, Rathmanner, and Halligan all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

 

Nick Pilz took the loss for North Branch Nighthawks. He lasted one and one-third innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out one.

 

Big Lake Yellow Jackets tallied 15 hits.  Halligan, Rathmanner, Huberty, Chuba, Holthaus, and Larson each racked up multiple hits for Big Lake Yellow Jackets.  Halligan led Big Lake Yellow Jackets with three hits in four at bats.  Big Lake Yellow Jackets didn't commit a single error in the field. Wilcox had the most chances in the field with ten.
