Recap for the 06/20/2010 game - Anoka Bucs @ Big Lake Yellow Jackets

Big Lake Yellow Jackets 5, Anoka Bucs 2

In a battle for 2nd place in the Metro Minny Blue Division, the Big Lake White Caps came out on top  5 - 2 against the Anoka Bucs on Sunday, June 20th.  With the score tied at one apiece going into the bottom of the 5th, Ross Stein lead off with a single to left, Sam Krick followed with a hit of his own to left.  After a balk that moved runners to 2nd and 3rd, Ryan Michaelis then collected an RBI, with one of his 3 singles for the day, by knocking in Brian Larson who had entered into the game to run for Stein.  Michaelis was then caught stealing for the second out with Krick on third base.  Justin Haag was hit by a pitch and Dave Burkholder walked to load the based.  Josh Ledin was then hit by a pitch to force Krick in.  Another balk scored Haag for the third run of the inning and Matt Loegering got an infield hit to score Burkholder for his second RBI of the game to score the White Caps final run.  Loegering had another infield hit in the 4th inning to score Ledin, who had hit a double with two outs, to tied the score 1 -1.
Mike Smith recorded the win by giving up only 1 earned run on 6 hits and 1 walk while striking out 8 Anoka hitters.  Micah Loegering pitched the 8th giving up 1 earned run on 1 hit and 1 walk.  Matt Loegering made it 3 for 3 in Save situations by striking out 2 and getting the final out on a pop-up to first after giving up a leadoff double and walking the second hitter.
