  • Big Lake Yellow Jackets got out to a five-run lead in the first inning and held on for a 6-4 victory over Monticello Polecats on Friday. Monticello Polecats scored four runs in the failed comeback on a home run by Michael Olsonin the first, a single by Brayden Hanson in the third, a error in the third, and a sacrifice fly by Tanner Eckhart in the sixth.
  • Big Lake Yellow Jackets opened up scoring in the first inning.  Sam Dokkebakken singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
  • Aaron Kloeppner took the win for Big Lake Yellow Jackets. He lasted six innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out five and walking zero.
  • Eckhart took the loss for Monticello Polecats. He surrendered five runs on six hits over two-thirds of an inning, striking out two and walking one.
  • Dustin Wilcox started the game for Big Lake Yellow Jackets. He went three innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out three
  • Big Lake Yellow Jackets had 13 hits in the game.  Wilcox, Tony Rathmanner, Dokkebakken, and Tanner Teige each racked up multiple hits for Big Lake Yellow Jackets. Wilcox went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Big Lake Yellow Jackets in hits.
  • Hanson led Monticello Polecats with two hits in five at bats. Monticello Polecats was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Eckhart had the most chances in the field with seven.
